About this trip

Dive into conservation with Galapagos Shark Diving! Join renowned shark experts in Galapagos for small-group dives, eco-conscious travel, and support local research efforts. Book now for an unforgettable experience!

Dive with Shark Scientist

Each trip is led by a shark scientist from the local Galapagos Whale Shark Project, who not only shares insights into their work but also educates divers on how they can contribute to ocean conservation with every dive they undertake. Beyond exhilarating dives, you'll gain insights into marine conservation efforts worldwide. Furthermore, for every diver who joins us, we make a direct donation to the research project, in addition to allocating all company profits toward this cause.

Our offerings extend beyond just diving in the renowned Galapagos Islands; we aim to provide each diver with a truly unique and memorable experience.

Itinerary

Our itinerary offers an immersive exploration of the diverse marine wonders of the Galapagos. Dive into vibrant underwater ecosystems where massive schools of hammerheads, graceful Galapagos and Silky Sharks, and a plethora of other captivating shark species thrive. Journey to Darwin's realm, where magnificent female whale sharks gracefully glide through the azure waters. Discover enchanting dive sites adorned with majestic Giant Manta Rays, and venture to the enchanting western shores of Isabela, where exhilarating encounters with sunfish, playful penguins, and charismatic marine iguanas await.

Most Galápagos liveaboards give you just a taste of Wolf and Darwin. This one gives you 7 full days where the biggest encounters happen. More time with schooling hammerheads. More chances for whale sharks. More dives in the wild blue, where anything can appear. This 15 day expedition is built for divers who are travelling all the way to the Galápagos for the moments they may only get once in a lifetime. Conditions change every day, and the ocean never promises anything. But more time gives you more chances. You will also explore remote dive sites few divers ever experience, from volcanic bubbles rising from the ocean floor to cold water sites where marine iguanas, penguins, sea lions, and even molas can appear.

If the Galápagos is your dream, this is the way to give that dream the best possible chance to come alive.

Arrive in the stunning Galapagos Islands and meet our enthusiastic dive masters. After a quick transfer and settling into your cozy cabins, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch and a detailed briefing on ship life and diving safety. In the afternoon, dive into the calm waters of North Seymour for a check dive, encountering playful sea lions and vibrant fish.

Day 2

Day 2 image

Pinzon, Roca Blanca & Beagle Rocks

Dive into the vibrant waters of Pinzon and Roca Blanca, encountering cownose rays, hammerheads, turtles, and schools of colorful fish. The highlight is the chance to see giant manta rays with wingspans up to 7 meters.

In the afternoon, we explore Beagle Rocks. Located near Santiago Island, this site offers dramatic volcanic formations, schooling fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks, and with some luck even hammerheads cruising through the blue. It is a wonderful place for divers who love healthy marine life and exciting topography.

Day 3

Day 3 image

City of Mantas

This area on the northeast side of Isabela island offers a few great dive spots. One of them is Cape Marshall, also called 'Ciudad de las Mantas' (City of Mantas), named for how common it is to see giant mantas. The plankton-rich waters of this area are an attraction for many species of rays - like the eagle ray or giant manta, white tip sharks, sea lions, green sea turtles and many more. The topography is beautiful and invites divers to enjoy their first dives in the Galapagos Islands.

Day 4

Day 4 image

Marchena

Marchena is one of the Galápagos’ hidden diving treasures, remote, wild, and full of surprise. With dramatic volcanic walls, beautiful visibility, reef sharks, rays, sea turtles, schooling fish, and the chance for larger pelagic encounters, it offers that true expedition feeling. Diving here feels special because few divers ever get the chance to experience this untouched corner of the archipelago.

Day 5 & 6

Day 5 & 6 image

Wolf Island

Explore the dynamic dive sites of Wolf Island, where powerful currents bring in schooling hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and dolphins. With night dives and encounters with green and hawksbill turtles, eagle rays, and large schools of fish, Wolf Island promises thrilling underwater experiences and mesmerizing marine biodiversity with the highlight being the huge schools of hammerhead sharks.

Day 7 - 10

Day 7 - 10 image

Darwin's Arch

Spend four days diving at the iconic Darwin's Arch, the Galapagos' most famous dive spot. Encounter majestic whale sharks, big schools of hammerhead sharks, Galapagos and silky sharks, as well as turtles and bottlenose dolphins. With huge schools of fish and vibrant coral-covered ledges, every dive at Darwin's Arch is a spectacular display of marine life, making it a diver's paradise.

Day 11

Day 12 image

Punta Vicente Roca & Roca Redonda

Dive with Molas at Punta Vicente Roca, where these majestic sunfish visit cleaning stations. The Molas approach the wall to visit the cleaning stations where wrasses and angelfish await. Sea lions and Galapagos fur seals abound and often follow divers playing with bubbles and darting in and out of schools of sardine sized Brown striped Salemas.

In the afternoon, dive into the unique underwater fumaroles at Roca Redonda, where steam bubbles rise, hinting at volcanic activity below. Feel how active the volcanos in the Galapagos still are.

Day 13

Day 13 image

Punta Vicente Roca & Cape Douglas

The wall is one of the most diverse of all Galapagos for marine invertebrates and is one of the favourite sites for macro photography. Explore the vibrant marine life along the diverse walls of Punta Vicente Roca, encountering colorful blennies, frogfish, sea horses, and green sea turtles, making this a diver's dream destination. In the afternoon, dive at Cape Douglas, where marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, and Galapagos penguins feed in the cold upwelling waters, creating a unique and unforgettable diving experience.
